Maddow criticized the abortion headlines from the Big press last night as everyone should. She also did an expose on the guy/company that put up the bond for trump's NYAG case. trump and his cronies are criminal enterprises, plain and simple. They have captured the R party and driven away any reasonable R from it. If they are not roundly defeated in 2024, this country as we know it will be lost. Recently NBC did a whistleblower thing on an Indian company supplying shrimp to major grocery outlets here and they were shocked that there was corruption and deceit, and no worker rights in India (heh!). That is where we are heading here in this country. The thing that most attracted us to stay on in this country was the lack of (large-scale) corruption and the modern state of governance. That will all be gone with a trump second term. Imagine that! you will be like a third world country. #VoteBlue up and down, left and right.

I live in Texas where Mitchell and his cronies have been creating laws for years to make it impossible for women to get abortions, even before the Dodds decision. Antichoicers are pressuring local governments to pass ordinances to make it possible to sue somebody you know who drove a person through the county to go to New Mexico for an abortion. The laws are unconstitutional and unenforceable but is effective in frightening women who don't know their rights. Already a huge majority of Texas women don't know what our abortion law is, another tactic to keep women from getting health care.

Lawrence O'Donnell has got Trump's number. This video is worth 10 minutes of your time, even with the annoying commercials. Share!

Well, here's a powerful ad. Kudos to Amanda Zurawski, whose name we should never have needed to know.

I still can't really believe this is our reality. Do we even realize the damage to our mental health we've been experiencing since post-Roe? For me it's been since 2016. I'm feeling low.

It drives me bananas when journalist report on his statement, including rape and incest exceptions, and do NOT point out that they are not real. Tell the viewers/readers the facts while you are reporting on this. There is no such thing as an exception.

So Trump says red states’ vile treatment of women, the suffering of women like Amanda Zurawski and countless others, should be “law of the land” in those states. Should be blasting this on hourly commercials, radio advertisements, tik tok channels, etc every single day and night.

He doesn't care either way about anything that he thinks doesn't affect him. That's not new for him but I hope voters are realizing it more and more.

I got in an argument with somebody close to me who voted for Trump, but is also pro-choice. I said "what do you think about his position on abortion now?" And she said "he gave that back to the states" as if that meant something good. He washed his hands of it by doing that. The "15-week ban" might sound reasonable to people who do not understand the significance of 15 weeks versus 24 weeks. And, what most people don't realize is that a 15-week national ban would just be the max amount of weeks. The states with total bans and 6-week and 12-week bans would keep those. Trump would definitely sign a total ban once he was in office to please his a-hole contributors. Just like those 4 Supreme Court justices said that Roe was the law of the land or something about precedence and they would not change it and then when they got their chance, they did.

Saw all the announcements about it on my RSS feeds and came here first to see what you had to say.

With all the word games going on, we might imagine that national legislation declaring a pregnancy as a human being with constitutional rights might not be considered, strictly, anti-abortion. We already see tolerance from the Democrats regarding such personhood in liabilities extending from death or injury of the pregnant woman. Trump might sign such legislation and claim this is not a contradiction of this statement.

Media will sell us out to the billionaires. Object to their characterization of trump everywhere if you can. We need Dem majorities past filibuster in Congress now more than ever.

SBA'd comment: " unborn children and their mothers deserve national protection from the abortion industry"...........

it's truly absurd how they twist and turn the words around to make it sound like they're doing women a favor..... PRO choice women see right thru these bogus words....... SBA is not protecting women from abortion, they are hurting women in preventing them. And a the clump of cells is not a child.
