Say his name. Circuit Judge Jonathan Sjostrom is the asshat who struck down the lawsuit in Florida. We need to say his name over and over again. Circuit Judge Jonathan Sjostrom Circuit Judge Jonathan Sjostrom Circuit Judge Jonathan Sjostrom Circuit Judge Jonathan Sjostrom And be sure to butcher the pronunciation because these asshats act like Kamala is hard to pronounce but, seriously, Sjostrom?!!!

Saw you this morning, Jessica, on MJ and you were great! You always manage to pack your allotted time with fresh info. Looking forward to reading your book!
Language matters: in a trend piece in the WaPo about how the “ballet body” is becoming fashionable, they quoted Kéra Nyemb-Diop, described as a nutrition scientist who focuses on healthy body image, “Women’s bodies in society are products, and like any products on the market, they have a cycle…” Products! If your culture sees you as a product, it doesn’t value your well being, health, rights or life. I called out how gross this quote is in the comments but how do you fight this attitude when it’s even coming from someone who claims to support healthy attitudes? It feels exhausting to still be having to counter the narrative that girls & women are property.
I wonder if there are differences between American misogyny and misogyny everywhere else because of our hyper capitalism materialistic culture. In theory that culture should see men as a product too, but I'm skeptical of that and in any event two wrongs wouldn't make a right.
I'm impatiently waiting for my book to be delivered to the UK. Luckily I got an advanced electronic copy -- it is brilliant and I can't wait to dogear all the best parts so I can easily reference them & keep everyone around me well-informed. ;-) (Yes I dogear my books!)
My book came today! I’m in CA, and Providence, which is a Catholic hospital chain, has become a huge problem for reproductive health care. Huge. Our AG, Rob Bonta, has finally decided to take them on. If he prevails, they will appeal to the 9th Circuit, and the case is likely to end up at the Supremely Corrupted Court, which will likely allow Providence to do whatever the hell they want in the name of “religious freedom” or some such BS.
Still, it’s refreshing to see an AG attempting to protect his state’s women. My hope is that we get rid of Catholic hospitals. They are predatory organizations hurting women when they are at their most vulnerable.
Very glad that California 's AG is suing that hospital. It is unconscionable that a hospital denied the medically appropriate care, and considerconsidered forcing Ms. Nusslock into labor or a C-section.

FUCK the Pope!!
The leader of the world's largest misogynistic and child molestation organization should keep his fucking yap shut!
Religious hospitals never should have been allowed in this country - Congress needs to pass a law to stop the pearlifilation.
If the hospital or clinic is unwilling to perform their duties as medical professionals then they should be forced to sell the hospital.
If a man was septic from a testicular infection, they would have helped him.
Denying services to patients based on superstitious and misogynistic religious beliefs should be absolutely illegal in this country!

I just can't with the f-ing catholics and their "religious reasons" for denying life saving care to women.

Good catch.
