YES. Conservatives are ALWAYS projecting. Though, to be fair, most conservatives are, objectively speaking, terrible people. So it's possible that they just can't imagine that someone else's motives might not be malevolent, like their own. They assume that everyone else's motives, especially of people who disagree with them, must be wicked. Because that's what's inside their own hearts, so how could anyone else be any different. (Which speaks to another characteristic of conservatives, their lack of imagination. Other than inventing diabolical ways to deny women health care.)
But yes you can really see the projection on a subject like voter fraud too. Conservatives are the ones who try to steal elections, and then they accuse liberals and progressives of doing exactly what they themselves would do.
And Tr*mp was a master projector. He assumed everyone else was trying to rip America off because that's what he himself spent his whole life doing.

Exactly! And don't forget the sexualizing school dress codes or gender policing prom rules. Too many religious conservatives are completely obsessed with sex, genitalia, and bathroom habits.
Maybe when you don't value education, reading, free thinking, creativity, etc., then there's nothing left to do but drink and sexualize everything.
