Katie Hobbs (AZ gov) was right to not debate Kari Lake. Biden's campaign did not serve him well last night - they prepped him for the wrong debate. Moderators did not rise to the occasion (I don't mean fact checking but with their questions). Of course, shameless trump's preparation was to lie about everything, say the opposite of truth and what happened. This debate need not have happened at all but the silver lining is it happened early enough that maybe we will recover and trump didn't win anybody that was not maga.

I blame the Democratic party for all of our losses. Tonight made it very clear.

We had to turn the debate off. I hope Biden hits his stride, but so far he’s crashing and burning. He’s really feeding the “too old” narrative. He’s been an extraordinarily effective president, but that won’t matter if he looks old and frail here.

Not watching. Can't stomach watching that miserable excuse for a human.

And then there are other miserable excuses for humans like the Rs on SCOTUS. We need to shake up the makeup of the court too after this election, if we win.

Before everybody goes into #debate mode, let me grab 5 minutes of your time to explain how Amy Coney Barrett outlined precisely how she and the conservatives are going to veto a "Restoring Roe" bill, should Biden win and the Democrats pass one.

"Researchers suggest the drop in contraceptive use has to do with reproductive health clinics being shut down in anti-abortion states, and confusion over whether emergency contraception is legal. Remember, a recent poll found that 73% of Americans believe that emergency contraception can end a pregnancy."

What is the source of this confusion about emergency contraception? If users think its illegal, why would they find it at the usual sources? Vanishing sources makes this finding more understandable. But going along with believing something is illegal goes some conception of the penalties. This really deserves some deeper inquiry.

What's missing in the poll about how many Americans believe that emergency contraception can end a pregnancy is finding out how many of those Americans actually care. For example, I believe that emergency contraception can end a pregnancy, but I don't care and I think its great. We should have more emergency contraception that ends pregnancy.

According to the Mayo Clinic (a great go-to website for accurate and clear medical info) Emergency Contraception DOES NOT end a pregnancy. It is, in fact, contraception.

Yes. Of course not, it prevents implantation, it does not remove an implantation.

My self care is Nebbiolo, my daughter’s is not watching. The best debate joke I’ve heard is that there’s a drinking game everyone can play: Drink every time trump says anything true, coherent, or intelligent… and have a Dry Thursday.

About stress- why are baby boomers, baby boomers? Because after the second WW, women were actually empowered. The economy boomed and a lot more people benefited from it than a few CEOs and shareholders.

Stress and fear is extremely bad for pregnancies. Pregnancy itself is DIFFICULT and dangerous. And all these people trying to turn these 'heroic' stories of women choosing to continue pregnancies despite complications from "she chose" to "she was forced" are disarming women instead of empowering them for the battle ahead. Choice bolsters you and gives you strength. Stripping us of it won't result in more babies. It absolutely results in more complications.

Most republican politicians are White men who feel that they have the right to tell everyone else how to act and feel. It is misogyny at its worst. In South Carolina, White male republicans worked together to get women out of the senate. THEN they could pass the goddamned bans they wanted. It is scary how they lie and fabricate so they can get their way. I am just sick to death of what is happening in America. White male republicans are cristo-fascists. Sure, there are also their female counterparts. It is weird how republican men can talk a woman into betraying her own kind. If we don't vote blue in November, we will have to form an army of women to take back our rights.

They don’t want to piss people off any more until after the election. They’re afraid it would hurt Republicans. It’s just that simple.

🎯Yep, that is it they learned from the Roe backlash, which they still pretend is not a thing.
