Bravo, Jessica and Grace! You continue to accomplish such important work during these dark times. I am proud to be a subscriber to your newsletter and proud to do my small part in sharing the information you provide. AED is the single most vital read on abortion — and the most reliable.
I read a lot about abortion and I am dependent on your coverage for its clarity and reliability and outrage. Thank you so much. Could you please repeat the post/article you guested by a different writer in this column? I think it was a month ago or less. I started to read it but didn't finish, and now I can't find it. Thanks.
I am curious about the "bounty hunter"-aspect of this Republican law: is there no tendency at all to expose people who enloy lots of income by reporting friends, parents and taxi drivers for helping those who need abortions? And who is paying these $ 10.000 bonuses?
Thank you. Just—thank you. My husband often scoffs a bit when I read The News and get worked up, not because he disagrees with me, but because he thinks it's bad for one's mental health to be shredded by things we cannot change. But I told him about your substack today, about what you do, and what's come of it this year, and he was impressed. “She's brave, to keep up with all of that every day,” he said. I agree. And reading you is GOOD for my mental health (though I may have to give up reading it just before I try to go to bed—not restful material!!)
Good luck and best wishes to you all in 2024! If ever there was a cause worthy of the battle, this is it. Be strong, be brave, be tireless, because everything that matters is at stake.
You really rocked it in 2023 and the year ahead looks like it will be a battle too. But it is a joy to read your reporting and then share your insights with others. So keep it comin' and I hope you are happy warriors along the way. Go team!
One of the things that you all have said that has resonated with me is that abortion rights are a winning issue - and we've seen that in election after election. This IS a fundamentally pro-choice country. Even most of the Rs don't want government to be making these kinds of private medical decisions. We need to lean into that this year and be the movement that is fighting for freedom.
Your work is phenomenal, Jessica. I wonder if there is a way to donate extra amounts here and there IN ADDITION TO THE regular monthly fee?
Amazing work you and Grace do, and it's difficult, grinding, emotionally excruciating work.

I am a paid subscriber, but can I pay for a subscription for someone else who can't afford it?
Your work is so important and I’m a proud supporter. You’ve inspired me to get involved at a local level in 2024.

Thank you Jessica and Grace for giving us hope when they are selling resignation. Invaluable to us and future generations.
Thank you.
