Just subscribed today. Thank you Jessica for your hard work and commitment on this issue. It is the most important issue for me and I am terrified for my 25 yr old daughter who could lose her life because abortion care will not be provided. We live in Ohio.

Love the weekly recap idea! As a new subscriber I can already sense that at times I wont have the mental bandwidth to listen every single day and not going absolutely f*cking crazy (I know I know, it's a bit selfish given the work you are doing to get the info out there). so there's definitely a lot of added value for me in this kind of feature.

Jessica thank you for the work you do! It is worth so much to me. I haven’t seen this in any of your weekly detailed reports and my congressman was bragging about it on FB so I wanted to make sure you’d seen it. Absolute trash of course.

Thanks for doing this recap. Some days I just can’t handle reading the latest machinations of the radical right, forced birth cult. Honestly, I don’t know how you do it everyday and keep your sanity. I’m just furious that my daughter and all the other young women in this country have to live thru what prior generations of women endured. It is mind boggling to me that Ireland, a catholic country, has more liberal abortion laws than many of our states do.

I like the weekly summary. The TN law is terrifying. I’m not sure if this would be in the scope of your newsletter, but since the roe v Wade overturn we have decided we will be moving out of our current state (AL) back to where we are from (RI/MA) or New England area in general. My husband has a great job here in AL doing research but since we have two daughters, etc etc. have you seen/heard research on people moving? How will these new laws affect states/hospital in stars trying to recruit doctors- will all areas of healthcare suffer? I’m wondering what some of the long term economic effects will be in states with abortion bans, in AL for example the largest employer in the bham area is UAB hospital and healthcare in general…And is there a possibility of covering some of the more positive states for people like us who want to move? How do we find out in more detail the “safest” place to raise our daughters…

I have been thinking about this CONSTANTLY. I think the amount of 'brain drain' anti-choice states are going to see will be shocking and have a huge impact (economically, culturally, etc) I'll definitely be writing more about it

I also wonder how it will impact the economies of where people are moving to. And what kind of markets there will be for jobs if they are “flooded” etc.

“How do we find out in more detail the “safest” place to raise our daughters…”Heartbreaking — and this is for people with options!

My family is still in AL, and one member started a CPC a few years back. This person was also an unpaid spokesperson for Bethany adoption services. I am so glad to be out of that state now, but they still think it is the best place in the world!

Thanks for this. I can no longer follow the mostly abhorrent abortion news daily.

This is a GREAT idea and so very helpful! The news is overwhelming, along with the cruelty and I'm amazed you can immerse yourself in it every day and create this great resource for us. Thank you, and thanks for coming up with the idea of a summary.

Actually, maybe even a midweek post with links to full commentary would serve, for breaking stuff. There’s no substitute for your reportage and writing; it’s just so brutal on many fronts right now. Thanks for however you keep doing it!
