My representative Ron Estes claims to be “pro life”, supposedly wants less abortions, but voted NO to allow birth control without government control. They also love guns and call helping alive-real-breathing-children “socialism”. It’s okay to pay billions to rich people but helping the poor and dying kids, nah socialism. I’ve written like 3 research papers on what actually decreases abortions and these dipshits hate it all.

I have finally fully accepted that 1. They do not actually GAF about abortions, women, babies or children. 2. They only want control and 3. They want those extra 1/2 million unwanted babies to be their future menial labor force and get paid shit. They are NOT pro-life.

I’m so mad I can’t even think straight. My anxiety manifests as frustration, being overwhelmed, rage, my brain is on fire. Gilead, here we come. Under his eye.

Love this post and love all the TikTok’s by awesome feminists

It’s truly breathtaking to see the extent to which the Republican Party has been taken over over by its most extreme Christian fascist elements. It’s not that they are at odds with the general public, they’re out of sync with their own rank and file members.

Which raises another point. A lot of mainstream Democrats and commentators have been droning on about popularism. That the party should abandon any issue that seems even vaguely disturbing to white males and instead should be ready to throw unpopular minorities (trans people etc.) under the bus whenever possible. Clearly the GOP has found uncommon success by adopting the most extreme positions possible. So why is it only progressives that have to abandon their beliefs?

I can’t think of another explanation than- conservatives see women as cattle who’s “job” it is to reproduce for the state and continue to expand the labor pool for what are essentially slave wage jobs. It’s no secret that the birth rate is at a low, I think lowest in 40 years. Maybe they should ask themselves why young people don’t want to/ can’t reasonably have children. It would be too logical for them to address the publics concerns of climate change, wage stagnation, cost of living, maternity leave and healthcare . . . Easier for them to just treat women as just one more “natural resource” to mine and exploit.

It is time to terminate the Republican party. Marches and crowds standing around will not do that. We need to find much quicker ways of making them disappear. Letting the party continue will only lead to women and girls being slaves of evil people. It is time to accept the fact that Republicans are evil and evil only understands existence or nonexistence.

Disinformation runs amuck in these times. Like the harebrained woman who testified before Congress the abortion given to that poor ten year old was not really an abortion. The right always lies to make their extreme views more palatable to people who don’t pay much attention to politics.

As long as prominent voices on the left continue to attempt to placate and mollycoddle them, I don't see how in the fuck we are supposed to fight against this.

I remember saying to a white man in 2010: they want to enshrine fetal personhood and outlaw birth control.

With the confidence and privilege of a white man he said that wouldn't happen.

It took a little over a decade to prove that I was correct. The only people who have been downplaying this possibility are the people who won't ever have to worry about pregnancy and bodily autonomy. Women can see the writing on the wall.

I also grew up in an incredibly emotionally and physically abusive household, so the abuse tactics the GOP's been using for the last 5+ years are not unfamiliar to me. When someone shows you who they are, believe them.
