Can the nurse who "reported" her be charged with anything? At least fire the person?
All these hospitals talk about "patient centered" care, but then treat us like criminals half the time, then send surveys afterward asking us to tell them how great they were.
Ruth Marcus of the Washington Post uses her position to make the case for abortion as health care. Marcus is usually pretty measured. Not here:
"Coma. Stroke. Limb amputation. Hysterectomy. Organ failure. These are some of the consequences that pregnant women might face if they don’t obtain abortions in emergency circumstances, such as premature rupture of the amniotic sac or eclampsia."
"And this is the proof — if more were needed — that the conservative-dominated federal judiciary, including the U.S. Supreme Court, doesn’t give a damn about women’s health."
Once again, when it's put to the public (grand jury of our peers) we win. (Although it's hard to say any of this is a "win" -- it's so infuriating and awful.)
Right now I am wondering how much money did this hospital charge Ms Watts for taking 8 hours to NOT PROVIDE standard medical treatment to prevent sepsis, and worse, for her condition. And did they charge her extra administrative fees for reporting her to the police?
I really want to send Brittany a note of love and support via her attorneys. Horrifying that she has endured such abject medical and legal ignorance and cruelty in the United States of America. Like everyone else, I'm grateful she was NOT indicted, but what happened to her cannot be undone and I fear that it's exactly what's in store for other broodmares, I mean women, in our country.
It is impossible to actually know, but how many women have been pregnant and not known it and then miscarried thinking they just had a really awful period? Are we going to start monitoring feminine hygene product sales? Have potty police? And, in a practical sense only, what else was she supposed to do with the fetus? These people are absolutely clueless.
We are the looking at the cold, cruel traumatization of women by a cruel, bigoted party. Imagine. The disenfranchise of the people who love you men. Particularly, white men who will launch any fight to protect themselves. The right to kill anyone with a gun, IF you feel threatened. Men, who will get in their BIG RIGS and block a major border bridge because they are pissed
about being forced to wear masks.
Imagine, being FORCED, into parenthood. Can you even imagine? Why aren't men advocating for women? Get your big rigs out. Block bridges . Forced politicians out of the intimate parts of your life. Protect women.
Great news. And this is only thanks to the grand jury... Because it certainly wasn't the Ohio attorney general or governor. And it absolutely should have been them that just simply dropped the case, it was such bullshit. I hope Brittany knows how many of us care about her.
I donated at the GoFundMe page but I'm appalled that she should need this help. There is something hugely wrong with what was done to Brittany Watts. And she won't be the last if we don't vote these misogynists out of office and out of control of our lives, and our sanity.
BTW -- there is a GoFundMe page, supporting Britanny. https://www.gofundme.com/f/justice-for-brittany-watts They acknowledge that some "fraudulent accounts have been created under the same name." I do believe this one is real. They've raised $238,909 raised of $100,000 goal -- wonderful!!!

Poor Brittany. What a hellish thing to go through.
But I'm perseverating on the police removing the toilet. As what? Evidence?
That is so extreme and deranged. And stupid and pointless. Just how dumb are these guys?
How do they think a toilet works?!
Plus did people in the house then have to hire a plumber to install a new toilet? Apparently.
Just found this, in response to Marsha's comment on one of my comments about GFM and pro bono legal care for Brittany: https://www.threads.net/@becbenedict/post/C04dAQsuI5f
Some lawyer has to decide to give her the services pro bono...I guess we don't know if or what she paid...

I doubt she has any legal recourse (other than maybe suing the hospital under EMTALA). But the DA will have to face the voters, right?
Yea Brittany💥💥💥. I keep checking about Kate Cox. Hopefully all is well with her👍👊🌸🌼.
I believe she just made a teary statement today or yesterday. Just awful what TX put her through.
Thank you 😊 💓. You are correct. She's doing an interview this week on CBS Sunday Morning. I was just relieved that she is still with us 😊.

Because they want this, for women to be punished for not birthing ,more babies (white babies for the xtian adoption babies that is.).

So fucking happy!

I wonder why her legal services weren't pro bono- or is this for other fees she endured?
