David French column - couldn't believe it. He's for a six week ban even though he admits most women don't know they are pregnant at six weeks. Does he read his own writing?
Yesterday in a debate with Ted Cruz, Colin Alred pointed out that that Cruz “wants you to think about kids in bathrooms so you’re not thinking about women in hospitals.” And he told Cruz to look into the camera and face Kate Cox and Amanda Zurawski.
Larry Hogan, running for the Senate from MD, is saying that as governor he protected reproductive healthcare by citing legislation he actually vetoed and then tried to withhold funding from after he was overridden. We are being flooded with lies about how he will stand up for women and oppose MAGA. I just hope my fellow Marylanders don’t fall for it.
Saw a bit of the debate and Alsobrooks did well. There is one good ad from Alsobrooks that has people who voted for Hogan in the past saying they won't now considering the stakes.
I think the New York Times should be forced to explain why they constantly give David French colums space to air his bigoted misogynistic claptrap just because he's allegedly a Christian.
Okay, so Republican men are co-opting the word pro-choice. How do we deal with that?We simply start saying we are pro-abortion. Use the real word. NOT a euphemism! It’s our mealy mouthed inability to commit when we started this fight that has led to this. Use real words. I am a former college English teacher, and that is what I taught students.
If you notice in the video with Shannon Bream, he also slipped in the 'voluntary late term abortions' though there is no such thing (similar to their 'abortion' after birth talking point which is also preposterous). This fucker is slicker than old man trump. Pete B had the best answer to counter this.
Pete B. is well spoken on the subject. Thanks for the links.
I think when they say "voluntary", they are describing "elective" abortions. I think the point is that abortions are always, no matter how late they are, necessarily elective. A woman and her family cannot afford to wait on the law to determine the need for an abortion anywhere in the pregnancy. The only obstacle to her getting one anywhere in the pregnancy is the mythical existence of her pregnancy as an infant, deserving the protection of an infant. This has no medical, biological or moral basis and is a strictly religious conviction born of the various myths governing the meaning of human existence. Not all religions agree on the status of a woman's pregnancy as a living human being.
We all can easily see that a woman whose life is threatened by the pregnancy should be able to get one without legal oversight. But the reality is that there are other circumstances that suggest late term abortions should be acceptable even if the life of the woman is not threatened. Catastrophic circumstances determined by the woman might also suggest late term abortions, where the introduction of a child might lead to further disaster not just for the woman or her family, but also and more especially, for the child itself.
Let us wipe his smirk off his chubby face and boot him (and trump) out of this race in November and toss him like garbage. He can do more damage to America than trump if we let him get his foot in the door this election even when they lose.
Chubby in this video clip says clearly he would like it to be illegal nationally.

Alred was great. I hope he wins.

Thanks for the link to the Scientific American article by Cara Heuser. It is a short but necessary read, recommend that everyone read it.

Agreed.
Parent are the worst possible people to make decisions for teenagers. The best way to get a teenager to do something is tell them they can't.

What did Pete B say?
this is from 5 years ago but still the best response to why there is no such thing as a 'voluntary' late term abortion...
