Like Allie Phillips, who was just a woman in the South who needed an abortion & couldn’t get it at home, had to leave the state.

After that, she decided to run for office. I’m donating monthly to her campaign.

Anybody know anything about Dr. Kristin Lyerly from Wisconsin? She’s running to be the only pro- choice OB-GYN in Congress. I’m wondering if U should give to her campaign. Anyone know her or know an about her? Also, Jessica, I don’t know the rules about how far away you have to be on this Substack from talking about politics, but it would be extremely helpful to me to know if there are local races we should be supporting.

Just find out if the people running are pro-choice or not. I’m never going to vote for anyone who isn’t pro-abortion, even for animal control officer.

Go to their website or just call their ph#

Did anyone listen to the male congressperson badgering ( I won’t say “questioning”) the female President of Columbia U? I think she’s Egyptian American. I was just shaking my head wondering why she didn’t just school him on his manner— she was under no obligation to accept such treatment. He wasn’t interested in her answers, he just wanted to curry favor with his base. She should have just pointed that out— she wasn’t going to save her job by debasing herself. But when a woman interrupts…..

When will the state medical associations grow some spine and stand up to those who are making doctors practice medicine with a gun to their heads?

The DEA & the State Boards of Pharmacy have been doing the same thing to Drs who DARE to prescribe opioids for people who have chronic pain conditions.

They practice with those regulators monitoring their every prescription, with threats of being raided by the DEA, having their license taken, jail & fines.

We’ve been screaming since 2016, asking when they are going to stand up for their patients???

Since when do you have to be "under oath" in a press release? Labrador wasn't under oath when he made his statements basically saying the doctors were liars.

I listened to the Supreme Court hearing. My take was Josh Turner was mansplaining to several of the female Justices, but especially Justice Sotomayor. I thought he was a rude twerp to the female Justices. I think he may have irritated Justice Barrett with his arrogance towards the other female Justices legitimate questions about PREGNANCY!!! Like a Fucking Man knows anything about it!! Why are men even legislating pregnancy??? They don’t have a medical license and can’t get pregnant. The male Justices asked the same stupid questions most men ask because they don’t have a uterus or a medical license. They don’t “get it”.

I wish that Viagra (and it’s knock offs) would be banned and have that argued before the Supreme Court - let’s see what questions the female Justices come up with about that.

We shouldn't have to wait while the bubble-wrapped People of Praise Cultist Amy takes her first class in SCOTUS 101. She knows how & why she arrived there. She needs to WakeTF up & show more than feeble feigned indignation about issues she cannot fully comprehend due her her indoctrination. Amy cannot be trusted...not ever! Don't ever count her in as a person who actually cares about women.

I agree!! Do not trust her, she flat out lied during her confirmation hearing!

“there were a couple of times that I did had to bite my tongue”

Umm, so it is a well known fact that the Supreme Court unlike other courts can interrupt you and question you throughout your argument. I learned this over a decade ago. In trial court you get your uninterrupted chance to state your case. But not at the highest appeals court in the land.

Him saying he had to bite his tongue means he does nit respect her position as a jurist. If I know this the AG knows this. He’s just incensed he wasn’t able to spout the full measure of his bullshit.

He was not acting as counsel, was he? Was he going to stand up from the audience and interrupt her? Or was he at counsel table ? Still, only one counsel is supposed to be acting at a time.

More proof that the anti-abortion movement is primarily about the control and disregard of women. Thanks Jessica (once again) for my daily dose of righteous anger.
