The Facebook thing appears to be Substack links in general rather than specific content.
Probably another feud between Zuckerberg and some other bozo with too much money and too few responsibilities. Wish these clowns would stop breaking the Internet with their temper tantrums.
"Some of the most common methods of self-managed abortion in 2023 were herbs, hitting themselves in the stomach, lifting heavy things, or using alcohol and drugs. When asked why, reasons ranged from the cost of abortion to being scared of clinic protesters."
Recall when the coat hanger was a popular symbol of advocating for the right to abortion. Trying to insert wires and other objects in the cervix was reported to be another way to induce abortion. The movie Revolutionary Road includes a self induced abortion resulting in a fatality from blood loss.
Access to RU486 should include funding for it. No woman should have to pay for it. Education should also be an important part of advocating for abortion rights. And not just debunking gestational personhood, but also what a feat it is to terminate a pregnancy. Not impossible, but not as simple as brushing your teeth either.
I actually love when the right says things like they are doing with Buttigieg. It proves this has always been about unsanctioned sexual behavior and not babies. Keep talking GOP. Your slut accusations don’t work anymore.
they can’t actually be serious with this: “sexual assault actually helps prevent a lot of pregnancies itself because of your body’s natural response.” translation: rape is birth control. i can’t even.
Am I the only one who feels that Florida's enthusiasm for Kamala, Amendment 4 (reproduction rights,) and the GOP's general weirdness could turn the state BLUE?
We may not be able to turn it blue enough to get their EC votes for the presidential race, but we can certainly push it more toward purple. I’m really hoping Debbie Mucarsel-Powell can beat Rick Scott & grab that Senate seat for us.
I was born & raised in & around Uvalde, TX. Have family in Kerrville & Seguin, but I’ve lived in NM for the last 34 yrs. I’m donating to Allred in TX, Debbie in FL, Ruben in AZ, Tester, Sherrod Brown, & many others; I want to see a landslide so bad
Yeah, good luck with the pigfuckers. The anarchist billionaires REALLY don't want the serfs to know what's in Project 2025 until they unleash it on us after the election, either in government or as an insurrection, depending on who wins.
Facebook is using a right wing website called The Dispatch to sort information on Project 2025, they took down a post I made about it a couple of weeks ago. IF they are the source of the problem, you can block them, as many of us have.
I forget the name of the organization, but Meta/Nazibook has a so-called "fact-checker" that's the opposite of a fact checker--it's a fascist organization. No doubt Nazibook hired this organization for the purpose of blocking legitimate information and spreading misinformation.
They can't. Only the legislature can put an amendment on the ballot in Iowa. Iowa's demographics are very Republican - the Republicans have really fucked up that state badly in such a short time (it used to be a purple state) - so Democrats have no chance of controlling the legislature there at any time in the reasonably near future, meaning their only hope is federal action - other states' voters.
Also I must be getting senile (LOL) because I swear like 7 months ago they were collecting signatures in Iowa, I must have got it mixed up with something else.
Yes I know Iowa is terribly Republican - it sucks, Kim Reynolds sucks, which is why I will never move back to Iowa. I grew up there, my mom still lives there - but I swear they could do direct citizen initiative ballots.
I just Googled it - yep..... I see it now, Iowa is a state that does not have direct citizen initiative ballots. I knew that to be true about the southern states because they are so fucking regressive. The only southern state that allows it is Florida and their threshold of course is 60%. Interestingly, Idaho does allow citizen initiative ballot- but there must be significant fine print that deters citizens in Idaho from doing it or they would already have done it.
The reason FL is 60% is to make it harder to get any citizen iniatives passed, they changed it after we approve felon voting rights be restablished, (that was their response) and there was talk about raising it to 66% which is roughly the percieved threshold for the reproductive rights amendment.
Idaho currently has a citizen’s initiative for rank choice voting/ open primaries on the ballot this fall. A group within Reclaim Idaho is looking at an initiative on abortion rights to start next year. It’s a ton of work but there is an infrastructure to get things going.
Nazibook/Meta is banning/tagging any post that mentions Project 2025. It's infuriating & proof that they’re fascist. You have to type it P2o25 or some other variation. Even after I re-shared the same post with "Pr0ject 2o25," Nazibook tagged it again, maybe because the meme I was sharing spelled it correctly.
There's a Facebook group called Stop Project 2025.
I've been calling it Nazibook for years. It's utter trash. You also have to change the spelling of "abortion" if you don't want your posts hidden--I typically go with "aborshun" (like Feminist Buzzkills on YouTube--which is also trash).
After learning how Nazibook is preventing info about P2025, I became more active on Spoutible and Mastodon. Bluesky is my favorite social media platform.
I tried to post it and got the same thing. Then I requested a review. IDK how much bots play a roll, but it could be that one person or more “reports” a post they simply do not like, which then may flag FB that something is not right with a post. What would happen if everyone tried to post and then requested another review? It could then go the other way around if more folks request another review than “reporting” it. It doesn’t hurt to try it.
I’m thinking folks just started “reporting” the post for bogus reasons. Playing the bot game. They may not be any real humans involved. It’s just a plot to make it look like Jessica’s post is spam or something that goes against guidelines when it doesn’t.
I shared a post about how Zuck was banning the post and then put the link in my comments and the post is still up. But everyone else I know who tried to share it also was told NOPE. Such horseshit. Almost like Zuck and Project 2025 share similar interests!

RE FB removing the link to the Project 2025/abortion post - put the link in the first comment instead of in the main post, and you should be ok. https://jessica.substack.com/p/project-2025-abortion-explainer

sing it. if you’re not in a heterosexual marriage AND trying to have kids: no sex for you.

Ignorance is abundant
and like hydrogen and oxygen, universal.
You’d think after Todd Akin embarrassed the party in 2012 by his utter lack of basic biology they’d have know not to say such garbage.
Am I the only one who feels that Florida's enthusiasm for Kamala, Amendment 4 (reproduction rights,) and the GOP's general weirdness could turn the state BLUE?

Me too, everybody hates the biggest medicare fraudster ever, and it was so close that his election went into automatic recount.
Purple is a great color. I’m in Texas. I’m hope the next election makes us Blue. I’m hopeful. Doesn’t blue and red make purple 🔵🔴💟

I meant make us Purple 💟
Facebook: Un-fucking-believable. xo
The forced-birthers and trumpers report things, and FB has so few moderators they believe them.
The reliance on the Fourteenth Amendment is ironic, since it begins, “All persons born…. In the United States.”

It's ok though because Meta has competition in social media, such as Elon Musk's X. 🤦🤬
X did the same to the White Dudes for Kamala account. These billionaires are running scared!
Elon is such a jag off. Completely delusional. Absolute fascist that will do anything for more money.
He's not neurotypical, and the guy that advises him is evil.
Why didn't Iowa do a ballot amendment like Ohio and Missouri? I swear I read months ago they were kicking it off so it'd be on November 2024.

Same situation in Texas

What's been going on in this country for the last eight years has been more than enough to drive anyone out of their mind.
Absolutely - I was Googling about moving to Norway or any Scandinavian country.
If only. You and I and everyone here and billions of others.

Thank you for feedback...
Republicans have turned White non-college educated voters and their communities into suicide cults.
Yeah, they've done a great Jedi mind fuck on them since 1980.

“trash?” They are my absolute favorite podcast.
I think she means "Youtube".

Yes the right has been doing that for a long time.
What would be their reason for tagging it?
Given Facebook doesn't do any fucking fact-checking anyway. Zuckerberg sold out for sure.

Wow. We need to spread the word about FB. Thanks for the information.
Trump bragged, “An issue that was tearing our country apart for years and years is coming to an end, and people are coming together.”
^^^ He's such a fuckin liar! Total Gaslighting!
