I viewed the documentary

https://www.badfaithdocumentary.com/

All the abortion and misogynistic rhetoric plays directly in the playbook of Project 2025. It won’t stop until we realize this, stop being shocked by it and stop Christian Nationalism. It’s not about Christ or religion it is about destroying democracy.

Watch the film via Amazon or Netflix but don’t watch it alone. It’s frightening

Last night, trump said he wants their votes and he was BUYING their votes. What did he mean by that? You know he sometimes lets the cat out of the bag? Is there a cat and a bag here with his billionaire friends?

JD Chubby on women! video in the link.

If I was married to this guy and hear him say these things, I would leave in a heartbeat. His wife would perhaps save the country if she files for divorce tomorrow. Given what I have heard so far, he would not hesitate to swapping her for a beach blonde butch body MAGA once he gets through this election.

I assume you saw the video of Chubby calling women cat ladies. Now we know where their motivation to kill R v. W comes from (other those already known). They want to make women's lives miserable, especially career oriented women's.

Not everybody has a 401(k) plan at work (or indeed has paid work) but Ashlea Ebeling's article, "Using Your Retirement Account as an Emergency ATM Just Got Easier" (Wall Street Journal 7/15/24) points out that recent federal amendments make 401(k) account holders entitled to withdraw $1,000 from their accounts for "necessary emergency personal expenses." (Summarized instead of linked because of paywall.) There is no penalty for taking the withdrawal, but the amount will be treated as taxable income if it isn't repaid within three years. Only one emergency withdrawal is permitted per year, and you can't take another withdrawal under this provision for three years unless the original withdrawal has been repaid. However, this provision only applies if the employer sponsoring the 401(k) plan opts in.

Ebeling's article doesn't say "abortion," and I haven't seen anybody except me thinking of this in the abortion context, but there are a lot of people who would find it easier to get the abortion they want if they had $1,000 cash in hand. People who have 401(k) plans and whose employer does not opt in might also be able to take a plan loan or a hardship withdrawal. Although some people will be reluctant to tell their employers WHY they want the money.

I am a great admirer (and not-often-enough contributor) to abortion access funds, but in the crisis we're in, we need every possible tool in the toolbox so everybody who wants an abortion will be able to remove financial barriers.

Can anyone help to point me in the direction of a resource to understand laws around ectopic pregnancies and abortions? I know in some states they’re not considered “abortions” and the restrictions don’t apply… but of course I’m skeptical. What are the laws and what are the real world implications? Thanks so much everyone!

Not a lawyer but I want you to know that I was denied a life-saving abortion by a Catholic hospital when both Roe and EMTALA were the law. They don’t treat molar pregnancies or miscarriages either. Stay out of them if you can. This is true in blue states as well. We need to change this exemption as Catholic hospital chains are buying hospitals all over this country, especially in rural areas.

MAGA Republicans: Pro-Life Except When Death Is By A Gun. Contrast the MAGA hypocrisy on pretending to care about life till birth and then after that your in mortal danger as Republicans relax gun safety regulations. Swipe right on the map to see the states with the harshest abortion bans with no exception for rape. Swipe left to see the number of mass shootings, relaxed guns laws in that state, and how much the gun lobby has donated to MAGA politicians in that state.

Jessica, just making sure that you've written to the NY Times to protest Adam Nagourney's misleading article about Vance. Seems obvious that you must have, and they do ask for readers to write in with corrections.

I hope hope many of the campaign dollars of the DNC go towards amplifying the horrific outcomes of the abortion ban and what is next... because the MSM isnt doing anything lately but pictures of someone's ear bandage . I'm so done with WAPO and NYX. What is going on with these papers? I get clearer information from my substack journalists and the BBC . Abortion everyday should get a Pulitzer Prize for the truth about what is happening to women. Let's turn Woevember into Roevember and actually get something in the constitution next time- starting with the words Women shall have the freedom to......

The Washington Post owner Bezos, has turned further right, and hired a Murdoch man from the venal UK tabloids, who do not do journalism, but viscous celebrity gossip, and lies, he worked for Murdoch at the WSJ (which was a decent newspaper before he got his evil paws on it). The quality will continue to decline until they get a qualified person at the helm.

^^^ So fucking outrageous......all their lies, propaganda and re-engineered words. A fertilized egg that you can't see with the naked eye.....you need a microscope to see it.

None of this is about babies......it's all about CONTROL OF WOMEN.

I do believe that this is the same Ed Martin that ran for political office and is a former chair of the Missouri Republican Party. I do believe he lost because his messaging was so awful, (about the same stuff that he says now) and Missouri wasn't the hot mess it is now.

Also, JD Vance may be a trad husband, but from what I understand, he and his wife have three children (under 8) and she works(ed) full time. Also, she was a clerk for at least one supreme court justice. So, until his nomination for VP at least, she was not a trad wife.

Yes, within a few minutes of his VP announcement, she resigned from her high profile attorney job.
