Can the Democratic Party put up a few candidates who run as Republicans, get elected and switch parties? This is starting to look like one of their tactics and it always seems to surround abortion. I know the representative in Michigan is still a Democratic one, but I’m sure one of the reasons she was elected was her stance on abortion.
Whitsett is an odd one, and it does demonstrate the difficulties of always holding the Democratic coalition together. Democrats who are White tend to be liberal / progressive and have higher education levels, but nonwhite voters tend to be Democrats regardless of ideology or education levels, meaning a significant number are less educated and more conservative. That's why Republicans see an opening with nonwhite voters. Our side needs a bigger tent than their side does, especially since the election and representation system gives conservatives significant advantages. Michigan has neutral, commission drawn maps, and the geography of the state means the Democratic advantage in the legislature is as thin as it can possibly be; they only have a one seat advantage in each chamber. Ultimately they'll have to satisfy Whitsett to pass any bill, so an all or nothing approach might fail. I would think they could also challenge the TRAP laws as violating Michigan's newly amended constitution, as a backup plan. And a primary challenge against Whitsett would be a good idea too, but her district might like her anyway, idk.
Can't wait to see how quickly these "pro-lifers" vote down the Care for Moms Act. Or try to insert Bible reading and curfews and church attendance into the qualifications to receive aid.

(Jessica, I hope you're full-speed quick-quick.)
Or his favorite ass kissing 💋 Florida judge.
1) I hope that Jessica heals up quickly!
2) I’m kind of shocked that Judge Kacsmaryk isn’t on the “short list” for the Supreme Court.
Me too, he's obviously their favorite, as well as the least qualified, which they also look for.
