It is an interesting disconnect. Conservatives try to punish those they fear, both women and immigrants. This is primitive emotion-based decision making, and not susceptible to logic or consistency.

I wish that the neurobiology of misogyny in both women and men could be studied in this way. I bet the same brain areas would be involved.

Yes it absolutely should be studied. And if their abortion policy does result in more poor people of color, I'm pretty certain they're going to fear and want to punish them too.
