I posted today about the abortion deaths. A firm supporter of 45 shared that she didn’t believe that the Dobbs decision had anything to do with the deaths because in PA she had a similar experience.

Thanks to Abortion Everyday I was able to quickly post links to a bunch of references, senate testimony etc.

I don’t know if it will influence her thinking at all but I hope it plants a seed for somebody who might only be hearing the extreme right’s position.

Also happy to have a respectful social media conversation.

Even a federally protected right to an abortion won’t guarantee a good outcome. What it does is give people choice and the ability to make the best decision and not remove choices or delay care.

Sending all the good vibes out into the universe and especially the close states.

ARFA is fantastic. They deserve so much credit for the work they’ve done. A state rep told me last week what a big deal this is. Texas Christians for Reproductive Justice has helped anyway we can—mostly by informing city council members that opposing abortion isn’t supported by the Christian Bible. Send some money their way, and if you have a little left over, we’re raising money for a companion billboard. Go to TexasChristians.org/bans.

Jessica, if you are able, please let them know there is an error on the donate page and you wind up getting a message that that page cannot be found. They are missing out on donations. I will try to contact them also.

Hi Donnie! Im a member of ARFA. Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention, the second link is for our PAC, which was just recently formed (woo hoo!) donation portal will be coming to that website very soon! For now we can accept donations through https://www.amarillorfa.org/. Thank you for your support!

Link does not provide a place to donate. Just two paragraphs about the mission. Please let us know how to donate.

Done! Thank you for your hard work.

Notice again the weird symmetry here. These are Republicans, we guess, who might have objections to illegal immigration and might advocate restricting travel for them across state lines, but reserve this enforcement to women seeking abortions. And now the same Republicans who might reject sanctuary cities for illegals, advocate them for "the unborn".

Bravo to ARFA...... what started as a small collaborative team of bodily autonomy activist has grown into a mighty force of volunteers that have spread awareness, education, and built relationships even with male Republicans in the state of Texas, wow.

This was an inspiring article. I will be keeping eyes on this coming November 5th.

Unite for Reproductive and Gender Equity (URGE) is holding a free two-day online training session, the Reproductive Justice Leadership Institute (RJLI) for youth ages 18-30 in California, Kansas, Ohio, Texas, Georgia, and Alabama. It includes networking, training on reproductive justice, and advice from campus activists. The training is October 24 and 25, and applications are due by October 10 at midnight. I have a link to the application, but it cleverly populates with my information, which I'm not eager to share with the entire Internet, so I suggest asking for an application at trainings@urge.org. The person in charge is Western States Field Director Marandah Field-Elliot. URGE is located at 1012 14th St NW, in DC.

The very creepy bounty hunter language was created by Greg the Hateful ( Abbott) . The crazies in Amarillo obviously looked to that very failed attempt to report people on a website 2 years ago- people got on that ridiculous website and jammed it with joke names and some pretty hilarious phrases to the point that it did shut down permanently . The power of the people -whenever you can find an inch!

I thought this vigilante insanity about banning crossing to New Mexico or Colorado by car was unconstitutional? They should know better than to think they could stop Americans from traveling interstate or any other route...glad to see there having to face organized pushback....! To the women fighting for women's freedoms in Amarillo- I salute you!!!

It has been held to be unconstitutional, even by one of the SCOTUS architects Brett Kavanaugh. States may not prevent travel. Why there aren’t lawsuits against this I haven’t figured out yet. What I do know is that we need to push back, hard, against this garbage and not allow it to normalize.

I suspect they are looking for the right case to bring forward a lawsuit

It is what they have done with their every other christo-fascist wish-list, so yes, they will contrive a case probably out of thin air. Or bully some poor woman into it.
