Nusslock's case happened in my local area - absolutely loved seeing Humboldt going viral for something over the weekend /s

Something that I'm not seeing mentioned in as many articles as it should be - Eureka's Providence Hospital is the only labor and delivery ward for ... 2 hours? If the road is open. Redwood Memorial in Fortuna closed their L&D ward a few years ago, and Arcata's Mad River's L&D ward will be closing this month. Mad River's the one secular hospital here, and when they announced the upcoming closure back in August, there was a community uproar that shit like this would happen, that women would die because they can't travel hours to a different county for care. Some people pushed back, saying that women would never be denied life-saving care - THEY ALREADY ARE. This has been happening for *years*.

I hate this so much.

The friggin' Catholics are taking over every hospital they can get their grubby hands on. It's like a nationwide emergency. Also if they are non-profit as they claim how is it the church has $1.2 trillion in the bank in Rome?
