Once swallowing a medication can be characterized as evidence of homicidal intent, the question is no longer whether women will be investigated. It’s how far prosecutors are willing to take it.
I'm on mental health medication but they have nothing to do with my abortion and everything to do with my bipolar disorder.
If I would have been forced to carry the pregnancy, I probably wouldn't need the medication because I don't know that I would have let myself live to carry it to term. My abortion kept me free to move on and make a better life for myself–one where I'm healthily medicated and happy.

It’s so fucking maddening that legislators want to treat us like we don’t know our own minds and bodies. That’s where my mental health takes a dive.
