On the sad side, lost my 4th cat in two years and my whole world is turned upside down. Only one kitty left, age 17. Going to the shelter soon to find him a buddy.

Reveling in the obnoxiousness of our corgi. He keeps the walks short and resists easing himself in order to be taken out the maximum number of times; if you try to drag him along, he flops on his back and begs for belly rubs, which perfect strangers eagerly give him. Our next-door neighbor calls him a whore. Yesterday, the only way we could get him to walk until he pooped was to stage a convincing drama. My husband let us out of the car in a deserted place and, after a little while, drove slowly ahead of us, making as if he had forgotten us and were heading home alone. The herding instinct was outraged and the stubby legs activated to good effect as he moved to reunite the three of us. You have to find your victories where you can these days, and at least I can outsmart a dog. The trouble is that this trick will not work twice.

I got a job!
I’ve been laid off since March but at least my contract was paid out until July 1st. It is a very dark time in public education and jobs even for the best people were scarce. It’s an unexpected role and with an all woman team. I’m so relieved but also super excited to work with these people on our shared goals!
So, here in Rockland County NY we had a torrential downpour around 5p, just as I was getting ready to go home, around a 15 min drive on the Palisades Pkwy, which in good weather can be a death trap. It even started hailing. A tree branch came down blocking my car. Good, news, despite my age of 78 I was able to pull the branch out of the way as the rain let up a bit. The traffic lites were out so it was like the wild west! New York drivers not known for their generosity! Good news is I made it home in one piece!
The main battles for abortion rights are for Gaza, Syria and Lebanon with AIPAC, not for Dixie with the Dems, and they are real battles, not court cases.
Abortion rights for Gaza, Syria and Lebanon as on the Golan Heights with AIPAC and for Poland as in Donetsk; while Ukraine and Taiwan waste missiles and risk WW3 over trivial issues with the Dems.

I'm 69 years old and polyamorous. All of my loves are much younger than I am, because practically speaking, there are almost no poly women my age. My previous most active relationship is wonderful, but I feel as if I have just won the poly lottery. I have just embarked on an amazing journey with a 38 year old woman who I just took out on a first date last night. There was connection, there was magic, and I could not possibly be more content, happy and excited to see what the future holds for us!
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit ruled 2-1 on Friday that construction of Trump’s White House ballroom must stop because it never received congressional approval.
Booked my annual Alaska trip and I get there in time for the state fair at the end of the month. I will be up there 3 weeks (I work remotely) and I cannot wait to get out of this heat!
