Your comment that "it speaks volumes that the anti-abortion movement’s first instinct was to collude with abusers" also sadly applies to the current Republican administration and by extension the entire Republican party, which enables and ignores abuse.
I've posted this before, but it bears repeating. The coercion that needs to be banned is coercing women to gestate unwanted life-threatening pregnancies.

If I live to be a hundred I will never understand why 100 million women failed to vote out every gop for the next 40 years.
